MEET OUR EXPERIENCED STAFF
Oakland Audiology is an Audiology-based hearing care practice. Audiologists are the professionals who specialize in the diagnosis and non-medical treatment of hearing. We are licensed to practice Audiology in the State of Michigan and are long-standing members of the American Academy of Audiologists (AAA), the world’s largest organization for professional Audiologists. AAA is dedicated to providing quality hearing care services through professional development, education, research, and increased public awareness of hearing and balance disorders.
Our Audiologists have undergone extensive training in:
- Normal and impaired hearing
- Prevention of hearing loss
- Identification and assessment of hearing problems
- Habilitation or rehabilitation of persons with hearing disorders
The “CCC-A” (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology) you see after our audiologists’ names means that they have been certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). This nationally recognized professional credential represents a level of excellence in the field of Audiology. It is another way of saying that our Audiologists possess the knowledge, skills and expertise to provide quality clinical services, and that they are committed to ongoing professional development to keep their certification current.
